Moisturizing ritual: for peachy breasts at any age
Step #1: Start with an exfoliating treatment.
Softness is king for this delicate area of our female anatomy. We particularly recommend the body exfoliator from the Umaï brand. Its formula with 500 micron rice powder exfoliates the skin while minimizing the risk of skin micro-lesions.
Simply pass this solid exfoliant under a stream of warm water, then make circular movements on your previously wet chest. Rinse. The right frequency: once a week for normal skin, twice a month for sensitive skin.
Step #2: Then apply a body cream. This step is the most important: it is what preserves the softness and suppleness of your skin over the years. Choose a rich and creamy formula, like Nuori's Vital body balm. It has the advantage of being enriched with beeswax and squalene to strengthen the skin barrier and prevent minor discomforts (dryness, tightness, etc.). Apply your cream from the base of the breasts, turn all around in a clockwise direction, then go up towards the collarbone. Repeat this little ritual every morning.
Firming ritual: to soften the effects of gravity
Step #1: Evening.
Get into the habit of finishing your shower or bath with a jet of cold water on your breasts. The cold "wakes up" the elastic fibers and gives a more toned appearance to the chest. Dry your skin, then apply a firming treatment.
Take for example Holidermie's Hydrating & Firming Sculpting Body Milk. Its composition includes caffeine and silicon, a duo known for its ability to prevent sagging skin by stimulating fibroblast activity. Its velvety texture with lipid-replenishing oils exudes a fresh fragrance composed by perfumer Kurkdjian.
Step #2: Massage and tone your tissues.
Here, you can use your fingers or help yourself with a massage accessory, ideally the Holidermie rose quartz body gua sha . Don't hesitate to place your gua sha in the refrigerator half an hour before use to optimize its firming effects.
Reapply cream if necessary, then make circular movements around each breast. Alternate with friction (gentle but firm!) on the bust, starting from the top of the breast and moving up towards the neck. This dynamic ritual supports cell renewal.
Movements and exercises to tone the chest
Breasts do not contain muscles. It is in fact the pectorals, located just below, which give them their support and shape. Hence the need to strengthen them regularly to "lift" sagging breasts and restore some tone to the chest. Also remember to strengthen the muscles of your back and rib cage. They ensure the strength and resilience of your "natural bra", the one that gives your breasts a beautiful support - even without underwire!
- To strengthen your back. Stand up, pull in your stomach and tighten your buttocks. Place your forearms at right angles along your body. Stretch your elbows backward until you feel resistance in your back, staying as close to your body as possible. Repeat several times.
- To strengthen your pectorals. With your back straight, place your hands in prayer position in front of your chest. Press them firmly against each other for 10 seconds. Release and then repeat the movement several times in a row to warm up your muscles.
Our other nuggets to take care of your breasts
- Baûbo's Canon Balm. Concentrated in vegetable butters, it is particularly suitable for rather dry skin. It contains daisy extract, the queen flower to defy the laws of gravity. Ideal for plumping and firming breasts, stomach and buttocks.
- What Matters Universal Oil. Do you prefer oils to creams? This oil will accompany your breast massages with a fine touch and sensual glide. With its minimalist formulation, it is suitable for breast care during pregnancy.
#octobrerose 🎀: reminder of breast self-palpation gestures
October is traditionally the month dedicated to breast cancer. Self-examination is the very first step in screening. So, once a month, when you are doing your care, take the time to touch, examine, and recognize your breasts. Pass this reflex on to the younger generations as well.
- Preparation. Make sure you are not on your period. Sit or stand with your chest bare, back straight, facing a mirror. Keep your arms at your sides.
- Observation. Look at both breasts and your nipples. Check for any changes: size, shape, symmetry, color, texture, redness, lumps, hollows, etc.
- Palpation 1/2. Look for any swollen lymph nodes. To do this, raise your arm, then palpate your armpits from the hollow to above the breast using the opposite hand.
- Palpation 2/2. Apply several pressures with the tips of your index, middle and ring fingers all around the breast. Press harder and harder to locate a lump, area by area.
- Pressure. Gently pinch each nipple between your thumb and forefinger. This is to make sure that there is no pain and that no liquid comes out when you press.
